Mass Notification System

The purpose of the LAWA’s Mass Notification System (3N InstaCom) is to increase safety, security, service and efficiency through faster and broader communications. It will free key personnel from placing and receiving time consuming calls and emails, allowing them to focus on the incident at hand. It will also promote and improve informed decision-making, and encourage collaboration for crisis management.

For incidents related to LAWA, are some of the Divisions that have First Responders’ and or emergency support responsibilities:

LAWA Police, LAWA Airfield Operations, LAWA Terminal Operations, LAWA Information Management and Technology, LAWA Public Relations, LAWA Emergency Preparedness, Construction and Maintenance, Concessions Management, and others.

Each Division is responsible for creating and maintaining its own Continuity of Operation Plan (COOP) and separate list of respondents. The Mass Notification system allows authorized members to send notifications to designated respondents via phone, PDA, email and other communication devices.
